Volkswagen Polo had a long run in Indian market without any major updates, now Volkswagen has finally decided to end the production of Polo after 12 years into the market. As farewell for the Polo VW has launched the Polo Legend edition at Rs10.25 lakh (ex-showroom) and is limited to only 700 units.
The Volkswagen Polo Legend edition is based on the GT TSI trim and marks the end of the Polo’s 12-year journey in India. The Polo Legend edition will be powered by the same 1.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine producing 108hp and 175 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
In terms of features, the Polo gets a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, auto climate control, rain-sensing wipers and rear AC vents. Safety features include- rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD and dual front airbags as a standard fitment with hill-hold and hill-start assist.
Changes on the Polo Legend edition include “Legend” badging on the fender and boot, side body graphics, black roof foil and black trim on the boot lid. The hatchback will be available at all 151 Volkswagen dealerships across India.
